Boring advertising doesn’t work. Neither does boring fundraising.

If you want to move donors to action, show them how giving to your organization can be a thrilling part of their story, where they transform the world by putting their values to work.

Show them how it fits into their life adventure.

Don’t try to batter them with facts about your effectiveness and the importance of what you do.

As advertising people used to say, “Sell the sizzle, not the steak.”
