How to make your donors love you

Do your donors love you? Are you lovable?

Here are 5 Tips for Making Your Donors Love You from Fired-Up Fundraising:

  1. Ask donors to do something besides give money.
  2. Use a clear call to action.
  3. Don’t bore them!
  4. Send them snail mail in addition to emails.
  5. Find the stories.

I’d sum it up this way: Be relevant — talk to them about the things they care about, and in the way that reaches them. And respect donors. Don’t try to fix them. Appreciate the great things they do.

Then they’ll love you and your cause.
